    Thank you Alex and Max,

It was great sharing ideas with the both of you!

It is amazing what kind of hold Video Games has on society, ever since the gross income toppled Hollywood films, they knew they had the public hooked. So much money is spent on the entrainment industry to keep us all off balance…can you imagine if that money was spent for the good of the planet or public? Anyways, that’s a rant in itself.

    Thanks for hosting us Alex!

    Cheers

Michael and Alex, it was a pleasure too have this conversation with both of you.

    Thank you!

Of all video games franchises, Deus Ex seems to be the heaviest loaded one with transhumanism and conspiracy theory topics. One point is interesting though: At least in the first part of the franchise, the agents with newer generation implants are envied by their colleagues who have implants of older technology, but the ones who aren’t enhanced never express envy towards any of their cybernetically “improved” fellow beeings. Maybe it is a good thing to keep yourself out of unnecessary and possibly damaging arms races.

This poster of the movie Gravity is interesting:

Maybe the practioners of transhumanism are unconsciously looking for a way to separate themselves from their mothers through technology.

Thanks Max, it was great to have you on again.

That link doesn’t work – can you resend – is it one with a side on alien head? – that’s what I see.

  3. Max replied:

    This link should work:

Looking at this, I have to think of an infant separating from the womb of it’s mother.

    • alex robinson replied:

Ah your words made me think of my ideas – when I saw the phrase “Don’t let go” – it felt like a command not to let go of the ages old ‘parent programme’

  4. Biggi replied:

A comment on an article about EVE Online catched my attention:

They will be your wingmen and friends for years to come. Be bold and never “play it safe”, because shared memories of the crazy crap you’ve all been through will stick with you forever.
